BCC

Boston Community Capital’s new Energy Advantage Program is designed to address the impacts of volatile energy and utility costs on the communities we serve. For the first projects in the program, BCC has received a $5 million award under the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative Green Affordable Housing Initiative and is matching that funding with an additional $5 million to develop and demonstrate a market-based program to bring renewable energy and energy conservation solutions to the affordable housing market.  All funding is in place and fully committed to the program.

BCC has aggregated a group of affordable housing projects representing over 3,450 units of housing in Massachusetts interested in utilizing energy conservation, renewable energy resources, and long-term energy purchase contracting to help stabilize their long-term energy costs. With the following Requests for Qualifications, BCC is seeking qualified service providers to partner with us in providing such services for these projects, which could include:

  • energy conservation
  • energy efficient HVAC equipment and control systems
  • water conservation
  • energy management
  • utility demand response
  • long-term electricity and fuel supply contracts
  • solar photovoltaics
  • other on-site electricity generation
  • cogeneration
  • solar hot water
  • programs impacting occupant energy usage
  • other related services
